This session will cover school enrollment, including basic information about eligibility for public school, the enrollment process, protections available for special groups of students, and truancy. Attendees will learn about federal and state law, federal and state administrative policies, and some local policies and practices in school enrollment. The session will review common issues in school enrollment that attorneys at JustChildren encounter and offer tips for resolving these barriers to education for our most vulnerable students.
